cluster host name dependency

    A) just want to know if two cluster setups can be under one LB and can they share same cluster hostname?

    existing architecture :-

    1) setup 1(production) has 5 servers in which server 1 & 2 (DB Nodes) are under replication and server 3,4,5 (processing nodes) pointed to db server 1.

2)setup 2 (fallback) has 5 servers in which server 1 &2(DB Nodes) are under replication and server 3,4,5(Processing nodes) pointed server 1.

As of now both setups has own LB i.e setup 1(production) mapped under LB 1 and setup2 (fallback) under LB2. Both LB1 and LB2 mapped under primary LB.

    Proposed Architecture:-

setup 1 and setup 2 will be mapped under same LB and any one setup will be serving traffic, other setup servers will be disabled. If any issue faced at setup 1 then wil be enabling traffic on setup2.

                                                                                      LB
                                                                                       | |
                                      *** setup1***                             | |                             *** setup2***
     [db node 1] [db node 2]  [PN 3] [PN 4]  [PN 5 ]                    [db node 1] [db node 2]  [PN 3] [PN 4] [PN 5 ]

    PN:- processing node.

We want to know impact on replication, oauth manager and application when 2 setups mapped under single LB?

The fallback environment it has its own databases so I am not sure the replication question since typically replication is master/master between 2 nodes of the cluster. If you are asking about 3 way replication master/master (3rd node slave) i think its possible but support does not support this/have documentation on setup and reset of it.
    Thanks.

    HI Charles,

    Thanks for response,

    1) yes fallback and production have own DB as they are two different setups.which are not replicated and we do carry deployment or changes individually on each setup(cluster).

Only common point is we want to maps both setups under single LB. SO, we want to know whether  this fallback and prod setup can have same cluster host name?
