  • 1.  API Portal 4.3.2 Dispatcher service replaces Apache httpd

    Hi There!

I know that in API Portal V3.5 that Apache httpd comes by default with install and allows for API Portal connections.
In the latest version 4.3.2, it seems Dispatcher service with in the api portal has that capability to listen on port 80 and accepts the new connections. Does this service replace the default apache httpd from previous versions ?

    Thanks,
    Imran

    Hi Imran

As documented within API Portal Architecture section: https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/layer7-api-management/api-developer-portal/4-3-2/introduction-ca-api-developer-portal/api-portal-architecture.html

"... Dispatcher is a public-facing service that proxies traffic to the API Portal web application. Port 80 is exposed but automatically redirects to https (443) traffic..."
