Remote Cache Server

In our solution, we will be hosting the API Gateway in AWS. We would like to consider AWS ElastiCache as remote cache. In the API Gateway documentation, I could not find a reference of using ElastiCache.

 

Please confirm,

1. Whether AWS ElatiCache is supported or not. If not, what are the other caching mechanism API Gateway will support.
2. Please share any reference implementations of API Gateway using ElastiCache?
