API Gateway - XML Schema validation

Does anyone recognize this behaviour in the API Gateway.

For some time now and then we have run into the fact that XML Schema validation is becoming slow.

• It is not reproducible
• It occurs in production, but also in test environments
• Processing slows down, but does not block
• It also occurs at quiet moments (no relationship with heavy load)
• It also occurs with small messages
• It occurs with random messages
• It only occurs in the XML Schema validation part

We are stuck here
It seems to have something to do with record locking, but so far no idea what is really going on.
Any suggestions?

Unless one of my associates comes up with something. This sounds like something that would be good to open a support case and provide a DCT collection (including heap/thread). At the time of slow xml processing. In case its some sort of thread contention or something like that.

We did open a support case via our tier 1 partner.
And we did provide a DTC collection. But up to now no solution for this problem.
That's why I am curious if other customers experience the same behaviour.
An XML Schema validation process that slows down at unexpected and unpredictable moments.

Hello Gerlof,

no, we didn't face this behavior with XML Schema validation. Did you log the timestamp immediately before and after this assertion? I would suggest analyzing the timestamps and accompanying logs, if not done so far. This could help to recognize a reason for the slowdown. Could you provide the service with policies or a snippet of assertions with the XML Schema validation? We can look at it and test, try to reproduce.
