    Hello All,

I am trying to access a newly set up environment.
If I connect it from browser, the connection works fine and I see layer7 error.
However, if I try to connect through Policy Manager, I get error.

    Could you please suggest.

    Hi Pradmod,

Is this a single or multinode setup? If a single node, I would check the ssg logs on the Gateway to get a better idea of what error may be occurring here.
Additionally, make sure you are using one of the default ports if this is a new setup, ie: 8443 or 9443 to make sure we are testing with a port that allows policy manager access.

    Regards,
    Joe

    Hi,

    1. Make sure you have the tick box checked for "Policy Manager Access" in "Listen Ports" for the interface you are listening on.
    2. Don't try to connect Policy Manager through a load balancer as it does not like trying to talk to multiple gateways. it needs a single one in the cluster to communicate with.

    Thanks Joe and Vince.

    I see another issue now.

While trying to access the Policy Manager client, the port number gets changed from 443 to 80, as 80 is not allowed , the connection fails.

    Please suggest.

I am unsure why 443 is being used. Do you have 443 port configured in the Gateway, or is this being presented by another network device (PAT or Load Balancer).

What does your port config look like below?
