    Hello Marco,

    Thank you for the response.

    Hello Anliket,

You may want to look at the expedited upgrade procedure.  In essence, it's a new instance and you import the data over to the new AMI Appliance. This will allow you to set it up on an upgraded AMI Appliance as well.  It should flow as set up new AMI for 9.4, do a dump of your 9.0 SSG DB, import that data into your new 9.4 appliance, upgrade, and update the DB to the new version of MySQL.  As this is an AMI I would test the procedure before going to prod with it so you have it down pat.

    Hello Matthew,

As per the expedited upgrade link, in the FAQ section the answer to the second question says that "Also note the expedited upgrade works only with virtual appliances. Gateways in any other form factor (hardware appliances, software Gateways, etc.) must be updated using the standard upgrade process."
Can you please check on this once

    Expedited Appliance Upgrade:

In the below link the note says, "A Gateway AMI Appliance is treated as a standard Hardware Appliance. You upgrade it using the procedure described in Upgrade an Appliance Gateway. You do not deploy a new image."

    Using the Gateway AMI Appliance:
    https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/layer7-api-management/api-gateway/9-4/other-gateway-form-factors/using-the-gateway-ami-appliance.html

Can you please once check and confirm which will be the best procedure to follow with which minimal downtime can be achived.

    Regards,
    Aniket
