In Firefox, a
Quick Search bookmark can be used to perform custom searches directly from the URL bar. I created a bunch of Firefox
QuickSearch URLs for Automic, and later updated them for CA. Unfortunately, many of them have broken again now. I won't update them again, but here are two I use frequently.
Broadcom CA Support – open specific case
Location: https://ca-broadcom.wolkenservicedesk.com/esd/allcases?case=%s
Keyword: bci
Description: Go to a specific Broadcom CA Support incident/case.
Broadcom CA Community – general search
Location: https://community.broadcom.com/enterprisesoftware/search?executeSearch=true&SearchTerm=%22%s%22%2c&l=1
Keyword: bcc
Description: Search for discussion threads containing a keyword.
Details:
%s
is replaced by whatever you type after the keyword.
%22
represents the "
character, and is used to ensure that keywords containing spaces or punctuation work more reliably.
- These are not semantic URLs, obviously.
