  • 1.  passing variable into $U email alerting.

Using $U version 6.9 is there a way of passing in a variable into the $U default email  notification on a uproc? I know that the field validates email addresses using the "@" character for simple validation however I have tried passing in variables using the exclamation mark and the percent symbol to denote variable substitution, neither appear to work as per below in the $U product log:-

    SMTP_MSG_RCPTTO: Error for recipient %nrmailfirst%@%nrmailsecond%
     SMTP_MSG_RCPTTO: Error for recipient !nrmailfirst!@!nrmailsecond!

it should also be noted that the variables nrmailfirst and nrmailsecond were defined in the u_ante_uproc.bat file.

    thanks in advance, Neil.

    Hello Neil,
    unfortunately, you can't.
If you need custom variables and customization on the uproc emails, you should use your own script to send emails and for example call it on the u_spv_com.bat script.
    Cheers,
