been awhile since i've needed to do this, but can anyone advise what's the difference between 'AM Image SOLARIS.AIX.LINUX.WINDOWS' and 'AM Image SOLARIS_AIX_LINUX_WINDOWS', and likewise, the difference between 'AM Image HPIA64.LINUX.WINDOWS' and 'AM Image HPUX_HPIA64_HPVMS_LINUX_WINDOWS'

..does the use of . vs _ in the image names signify something ? ..anything ?

to put this into context, i've got upgrades of AM masters on 64bit windows, remote agents on 64bit Linux and 64bit windows, and agents on 32bit windows platforms to do, so trying to figure out which image is appropriate for each platform

    cheers

    Hello Pat,

The naming convention for Applications Manager's installation media signify the Operation System that it can be installed on. For example below:

    Applications.Manager_AM.Image_SOLARIS.AIX.LINUX.WINDOWS_9_3_1+build.2.zip

The above zip can be used to installed on Solaris OS, AIX OS, Linux OS (RHEL and OEL), and Windows OS.
The use of dot versus underscore does not mean anything so as long as name contains your OS that you are installing on, than the install zip will contain the install package for those OS.
