You're on AE Version 12.1+? Then your documentation is on docs.automic.com / Automic (Workload) Automation / REST API. In the early days there was an additional installeable component for accessing the AE using REST. This component is obsolete in the meantime.
The REST capabilities are still limited. Setting/releasing breakpoints using REST is not yet possible (<=12.3), you would need to go via ApplicationInterface API. I have a Powershell solution for both kind of interfaces. If you're interested PM me.
