tomcat performance issue which affects UVC webconsole 6.10.21

tomcat - 7.0.50
jdk - 1.8.64
Server OS version - RHEL6

Old UVC webconsole version was 6.9.21 and webconsole performance was good.
After upgrade to 6.10.21, we observe that tomcat goes in hung status frequently.
I know upgrading tomcat and java to latest version could be permanent solution for this issue. But we have some constraints now for the upgrade.
I need to know if there is any way to improve tomcat performance?

​It may be that the upgraded web console is memory hungry and that is the cause of the hangs.
Try looking at memory settings on Java so allocate more memory to the runtime, that may help without the need to upgrade at this point.

Well, after contacting support it was found that it was indeed an issue with 6.10.21 webconsole. They asked us to upgrade webconsole to 6.10.31 and all was ok.
