Since UVC v6.4.01 the (embedded) load balancing function of UVC Webconsole is no longer available. In order to have high availability, transparent updating and fast accessibility for many users it is possible to use a open source third-part software solution that is called HAproxy (www.haproxy.org). The utility is easy to install and well documented (http://cbonte.github.io/haproxy-dconv/1.5/configuration.html).

Attached to this post you will find a configuration file for HAproxy that has been tested at Automic Customer Service. The configuration file is commented and contains instruction to make HAproxy work with UVC Webconsole. The most important aspect of the configuration is to have "sticky sessions".

Please let us know whether you find this useful and let us know your experience.

Note that we have had feedback from some customers saying that load balancing UVC Webconsole with an hardware solution (F5) works as well if session stickiness is implemented. :)

DISCLAMER: Automic does not support or maintain HAproxy or the provided configuration file.
