ESP DSERIES 12.2 Desktop Client Patch problem

Hi team,  We upgraded to ESPDseries 12.2 last year.   We had a few users months ago have issues on and off with not being able to download applications: the list of apps was not appearing.   We tried reinstalling the desktop client, rebooting, and sometimes it would rectify itself and others would be a few days.  It seemed to stop until the other day a user who had been using 12.2 Desktop Client with no problem could not download applications.

I did some research and found that there is a patch to fix that and a couple of other bugs in the desktop client.   I have downloaded the patch from the Broadcom site and am trying to follow the instructions but no matter where I place the xxxxxx.zip file, the desktop client comes back with 'the repository is empty or the repository is unavailable'     I can open a support ticket but wanted to see if anyone has applied this patch successfully and if so, what you did since I have never applied a patch to CAWA before and want to make sure I am just not mis-reading the instructions.

Thank you, Kiran, for your response and sorry I have taken a week to respond but I was out.

I have already tried adding the path to the location in preferences but the update shows no updates found.

When I do a 'reload' of the site in Desktop Client - Windows - Preferences - Workbench-Install/Update - Available Software ,  I get  Unable to connect to repository Unable to connect to repository http://icdudaixxesp71.pearsontc.com/opt/CA/temp_dir/21662920.zip/content.xml

I have tried adding it to my C:drive (local) and a company shared drive but it doesn't find it there either.

Either my client cannot connect to the CAWA server where I placed the zip file or a windows drive.   Any suggestions on what I am doing incorrectly or a good place to use?

Hi,

Can you please confirm if you are pointing to the zip file only - CAWADesktopClientUpdate_12.2.0.0.202107051544_2465.zip.

This download gives me a folder named 22846583.zip  (number changes each time it is downloaded) with the 3 files above within it.   I have tried pointing to the path with the zip file downloaded   http:/path/xxx/22846583.zip   and then again http:/path/xxx/22846583 and even tried with the .CAZ file.

The zip file name of CAWADesktopClientUpdate_12.2.0.0.202107051544_2465.zip  does not exist.       I even put that in but in every case I get   'Unable to connect to repository '  so I think that the Desktop Client is just unable to connect to the locations I am trying to place the download.   I will try again Monday.
