 September Patch - Alarmview in OC unusable?

Hi all,

I just installed the September patch and find the alarm view like this:

OK, I thought. Clean situation before defining which columns I want. But unfortunately my individual column definition is not saved at all. Switching to another view and come back you have an empty alarm view again.

I cleared the browser cache and deleted the work directory. No remedy.

Can this be? Has anyone else observed this?

@SamG the September patch release has been updated so this issue should not occur any longer. We just tested it out a few days ago and it worked.

Yes, I can signup for this problem as well.  We just applied the hotfix and opened the alarm view and saw the same.  We were able to edit the columns and add several of them and save the config.  However, when we logged back in; the view reverted back to the default shown above.  This is a step back.

Did you apply the Sept. patch release without applying the July patch release first?

Hey Steve,

Yes, I had applied the July patch release when it initially came out.

In the UMPALARMVIEWERINFO table, check if the 'DefaultFilter' column is present or not.
select * from UMPALARMVIEWERINFO

If the column is not present, run this sql (for MS SQL SERVER) ---->

ALTER TABLE UMPALARMVIEWERINFO
ADD DefaultFilter int;

Steve,

I ran the command and it shows the column is there:

OwnerName      Columns              Filters

administrator     Host,Robot,Creation time & date,Alarm Message,Count {}

These are the columns I selected and it looks like it was saved in the database.

However,  when I look at the Operator Console; I still only see.  Somehow, the columns I added/saved, are not visible in the console.

Hi @Stephen Danseglio,

after adding the column 'DefaultFilter' in UMPALARMVIEWERINFO the alarm view has persistent column.
It's still far from perfect, but this way it's at least somewhat usable. The re-sorting and the size of the columns is still not persistent and you can't sort by owner either.

Has this behaviour been seen in many other deployments of this patch? I'm holding back deploying it at the moment.
