"On the seventh day of APM 9.7, the CA Team gave to me… CA UIM Integration “

With the release of CA APM 9.7, CA has truly given you "Infrastructure Aware APM" as well as "Application Aware Operations".  CA APM is now integrated with its world class infrastructure management solution known as CA UIM (Unified Infrastructure Management).  In a COLLABORATIVE effort, this integration has brought the 2 worlds of application performance management and infrastructure management together to provide two very powerful super-views. Now we have a solution to provide a Unified View of the Infrastructure and Applications that impact Business Services.

CA APM by itself is very powerful and provides::

  • Mobile to Mainframe Transaction Visibility
  • Real User Experience Monitoring
  • Deep Dive Root Cause Diagnostics for Java/.NET Applications
  • Invaluable for Critical Applications

However CA APM  may be challenged with :

  • limited view into the performance of the applications architecture
  • Sometimes overkill for less critical applications
  • No central event console / Single pane of glass for operations

CA UIM by itself is very powerful and provides:

  • Top to bottom infrastructure visibility across Servers, Virtualization, Storage, & Network
  • Extensive probe library for health and availability
  • Single pane of Glass for Operations
  • Synthetic Monitoring

However CA UIM may be challenged with:

  • Real Transaction Visibility
  • Real User Experience
  • Deep Dive Application Diagnostics

With CA APM + CA UIM you get a Unified view that is End to End & Top to Bottom across Applications & Infrastructure:

  • Mobile to Mainframe Transaction Visibility
  • Real User Experience Monitoring
  • Deep Dive Root Cause Diagnostics for Java/.NET Applications
  • Invaluable for Critical Applications
  • Top to bottom infrastructure visibility across Servers, Virtualization, Storage, & Network
  • Extensive probe library for health and availability
  • Single pane of Glass for Operations
  • Synthetic Monitoring

Here are some teaser views for you put under your tree just in case you can't get your hands on the latest before the holidays.
