Community Member Spotlight  for June - Navdeep Joshi,

By C.J posted Jun 10, 2015 12:46 PM

Once a month we'll shine our virtual spotlight on one of the CA PPM community's members. It's just a fun, easy way for us to get to know one another a little bit beyond our work-related interactions here on the site. This month, we're featuring Navdeep Joshi, Sr. Consultant - CA PPM.

What CA Product Community you are most engaged in? CA PPM

Why do you feel engagement with peers in the Communities is important?

IMHO everyday is a new learning, else life would be redundant. CA PPM, as a tool is a MONSTER  …. You cannot think that you know all of it. It’s important to engage with the peers in the community as it provides a nice window to learn something new, or revamp what you’ve learnt “As of Date” J …. It provides a good insight from a tool perspective as well as the business perspective – what the organizations are using the tool for, how they are working to make it better, and so on ….

Apps/software/tools you can’t live without?

CA PPM, iTunes on my iPad / Laptop (like listening to music), and last but not the least the FIFA15 game on my laptop (which I am never satisfied with, playing …. My wife has to literally drag me away if I get into the mood of playing it when I get free time  ….)

Besides your phone and computer, what's your favorite gadget?

My laptop and the iPad (almost glued to these 2)

What’s your daily work space like?

I believe in “GO GREEN” …. No paperwork around, and if there is, if required, I make sure that I shred it at the earliest when the work is done.

How do you balance life/work?

I firmly believe that when @ work, give your 100% or more, and leave any personal life @ home…. When @ home, I try and not think too much about work, and spend my time reading books / cooking for my wife and daughter / translating Sanskrit shlokas (whatever I’ve learnt till date) in both – Hindi and English language (I’ve started this recently – preparing for the old age  …. ).

Best advice you can give and you have received?

When @ home do not think too much about work

What everyday thing are you better at than anyone else?

As a Brahmin, I make sure that I perform daily rituals diligently, before leaving for the office.

Having said all that I would like to thank you guys for your efforts in running the communities, and encouraging feedback from the users.... Also, thank you for providing with an opportunity like this.

सर्वे जना: सुखिनो भवन्तु

May the whole world live in peace and harmony

Regards,

NJ
