    CA OPS/MVS Event Management and Automation Version 14.0: Understanding AOF Rules 200 (06OPS20120)

    This course is designed to introduce the next generation of CA OPS/MVS users to writing Automated Operations Facility (AOF) rules and to provide information about how these rules are processed. This course will show you how to:
    • Familiarize yourself with the Automated Operations Facility (AOF).
    • Understand the structure of AOF rule sets, including RULEPREFIX and RULESUFFIX parameters, and rule set naming conventions.
    • Explain AOF rule set and coding guidelines for each rule section.
    • Describe how multiple rules respond to a single event.
    • Explain how rule conflicts are resolved.
    • Write Command, Message, Security, and Time-of-Day rules.


    CA OPS/MVS Event Management and Automation Version 14.0: Understanding AOF Rule Variables 200 (06OPS20130)

    This course is designed to introduce the next generation of CA OPS/MVS users to the Automated Operations Facility (AOF) rule variables and to provide information about how these variables are processed. This course will show you how to:

    • Explain the purpose of AOF rule variables.
    • Familiarize yourself with using the following types of variables:
      • Environmental variables
      • Dynamic variables
      • Static variables
      • Address space-related variables
      • OPS/REXX global variables
      • Event-related variables
