  • 1.  Three New Web-based Training (WBT) Courses Now Available for CA Spool

    Three new web-based training courses are now available for CA Spool on Learning@Broadcom. Each course contains a recorded presentation and demonstration delivered by a CA Spool subject-matter expert.

    The following list describes these courses:

    CA Spool™: Migrating from CA Spool AFP Transformers to Java Transformers 200 (06SPO20010): This course is designed for anyone responsible for CA Spool installation and maintenance. After completing this course, you will be able to:

    • Understand the migration process.
    • Explain the differences between the AFP and Java transformers.
    • Customize the transformer parameter files.

    CA Spool™: Plug-in for Zowe CLI 200 (06SPO20020): This course is designed for CA Spool end users. After completing this course, you will be able to:

    • Explain the purpose of Zowe and Zowe plug-ins.
    • Install and operate the CA Spool plug-in for the Zowe CLI.

    CA Spool™: Java Transformers Installation 200 (06SPO20030): This course is designed for anyone responsible for CA Spool installation and maintenance. After completing this course, you will be able to:

    • Describe the CA Spool Java transformers and their benefits.
    • Identify the software requirements for installing the Java transformers.
    • Understand the installation process.
    • Explain the post-installation process.

    CA Mainframe Education is offering our Product Web-based Training at no cost for active maintenance customers.

    • Two-Minute YouTube Video – This video will show you how to access and navigate Learning@Broadcom
    • Learning@Broadcom User Guide -- Describes the process to access Learning@Broadcom, including guidance on Enterprise Account requirements for setting up your account.
    • Course Catalog – List of available Mainframe Product Web-based Training (WBT) and Instructor-led Training (ILT).

    Yes!  This is a web-based course (06SPO20010) and is free to all customers that have active maintenance on any Mainframe product.  If you have active maintenance, and cannot find the course, please reach out.
