XFlow - adding button or command for new activity notification

    Dear all,

In the Service Desk, we are restricting view and creation for new custom activity notification. Lets say that this new activity notification is creating activity log which is bounded to Security comments. These security comments should only be visible to Security log analysts. We managed to do this inside classic Service Desk UI by creating new activity notification and creating data partitions for creating and viewing the same. Everything works as expected in classic SDM UI but we want to achieve the same in Xflow. We can see that data partitions work fine in Xflow but we want to find a way to add a comment (activity log) that will be connected to new activity notification and its code. If we click on "COMMENT" button inside XFLOW it is creating LOG comment but that doesn't suits us because LOG comment should be visible to everyone and this Security comments should be visible only to specific roles.

My question is, has anyone managed to create custom button inside XFLOW UI that will create custom activity instead of OOTB LOG acitivity?

Also we saw that there is an option of writing commands, new command cannot be created?

    Any ideas are welcome.

    Thanks and BR,

    Bruno

    Hi Bruno,

Your understanding is correct. OOTB we cannot create an custom button in xFlow UI.
We are in receipt of this request and shall enhance customizability of the LOG COMMENT button functionality  in xFlow and account this to point to any custom activity type that's configured (Default:  LOG activity type) . This configuration shall be exposed in the xFlow general configuration in SDM. We shall consider this in our upcoming release 17.5 .

    Thanks,
    Bharath
