We are currently troubleshooting an issue in CA Asset Portfolio Management (APM) where a workflow notification process (/ITAM/Notification without ACK) is being triggered multiple times through event processing.
From the logs, we can see repeated events of type:
CA.Common.Workflow.Provider.DataInfo, which appear to be firing notifications continuously.
As part of the analysis, we are trying to identify:
👉 Where the notification recipients are configured in CA APM for these events
Specifically, we would like to understand:
- Where the recipient list (users/groups/emails) is defined for APM event notifications
However, we are unable to clearly identify where the actual recipient list is maintained or resolved from.
Questions:
- Where exactly are notification recipients defined for APM-triggered events?
- Can recipients be dynamically derived (e.g., from asset owner, contact, or role)?
- Is the recipient list controlled within APM or entirely inside the ITPAM workflow?
Any guidance or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
