we need information about how to install or the functions that this component or license do.
We would like the official documentation to install this component or solution.

We have information from ca apm up until version 10.8, but after that we perceived that the saas version "dx platform" was the go to, but know we have investigated and found dx operational observability. We would like to ask questions about this.

    1. Does dx Application performance manager (dx apm) still exist and is this lisence covers this functionality?
    2. Does dx operational observability substitues dx platform?
    3. Does dx apm a part of dx platform?
    4. Our focus is the integration with spectrum, does dx apm or dx operational observability covers this?

    Hi Enrique,

you can find the documentation for the DX SaaS (Operational Observability) n the tech-docs page.
    https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/dx-operational-observability/saas.html
The DX SaaS release is tenant based, so you need to license and request a tenant for it.

There is also an OnPrem version, but this one is releases (updated) once a year only, the SaaS release is kept updated regularly.
The OnPrem version needs to be licensed too, but deployed on your premise in a Kubernetes or OpenShift cluster.
Documentation and installation instructions in the techdoc pages:
    https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/dx-operational-observability-onprem/24-2.html

    To your questions:

    1. APM 10.8 still exists and is still supported. The agents from 10.8 can be used with DX SaaS, but the license of APM 10.8 does not cover DX SaaS
    2. The DX O2 is a natural evolution. The evolution of DX APM to DX O2 used the initial DX APM platform. That is all.
    3. Yes. DX APM is part of the DX O2 solution
    4. Spectrum can be integration with DX 02. The more data sources you have, the better you can observe your IT environment

If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out.

Hi and Thank you for the answer.

Based on the info broadcom shared with us, we asked about dx apm saas, and they replied that we will use CA AGEGATOR:DX APM FULL STACK MONITORING ON PREMISE.

Is CA AGEGATOR:DX APM FULL STACK MONITORING ON PREMISE installed on premise so that i can access or connect the agents to the dx apm saas?

With this component could we achieve the integration with spectrum? like sending snmp alerts?

What is the specific function or capability of the CA AGEGATOR:DX APM FULL STACK MONITORING ON PREMISE? I have searched but only found a ca aggregator on ca pm. Is there any documentation on how to install CA AGEGATOR:DX APM FULL STACK MONITORING ON PREMISE?

    Hi Enrique,

APM 10.8 agents can connect to both, the DX SaaS or OnPremise suites. For older agents, you can use the Cloud Proxy which will forward through one point (IP) all agent metrics to the DX SaaS or your OnPremise deployment.

Note that DX APM stands for Application Performance Management, and it uses agents to monitor the applications from within.
Spectrum is a Network Management solution.

Spectrum can connect to DX Operational Observability OnPremise and DX Saas too. But the details on how it it does it has to be answered by one of our netops guys.

OnPrem Installation instructions can be found on our Tech Doc page - as a short hint: a kubernetes cluster requires at least 48cores, 256GB Ram and 1TB fast SSD storage. Depending on the amount of metrics, you may have to increase to a medium sized setup at least (Spectrum etc./DX Netops)

    Hi Enrique,

In addition to Joerg's comment, you have 2 options

    a) Keep using Legacy APM only, latest version is 10.8sp1
    b) Start using DX O2, latest version is 25.1HF1

DX O2 combines DX OI, DX APM and DX AXA and yes you can integrate it with other products, UIM , Netps AppNETA, etc.
Product Management provides updates to customers on new features, roadmap, best practices, etc every month. You can review those from https://engage.broadcom.com/IMS-events > AIOps & Observability, last Nov Presentation was the intro to DX O2 for OnPremise

If you need more trainings about DX O2: see https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/dx-operational-observability-onprem/25-1/dx-operational-observability-release-notes/training-videos-by-release.html
