UrlAnalyzer: Error 'core_status_url_reputation'

    Hello,

    In SMG version 10.9.2-6, I was using the feature "Modify clickable URLs in message – Disable URLs". In this section, I was modifying the URLs inside emails. The following options were enabled:

    • Custom URLs

    • Malicious URLs

    • Spam URLs

    • Unknown URLs

    Under the Custom URL category, the following were selected:

    • Cloud Infrastructure

    • File Storage / Sharing

    However, for the past few days I have been receiving the following error for all URLs:

    "Error 'core_status_url_reputation' processing URL 'www.domain.com' in file 'URL only'."

    As a result, all URLs are being modified, regardless of their category.

    On the Broadcom support page, I found the following recommendation:

    "Ensure that Messaging Gateway has unrestricted access to outbound HTTPS / TCP port 443 through any intermediate firewalls and is able to resolve the hostname used for URL reputation."

    Our firewall administrator confirmed that SMG is not blocked from accessing any site over HTTPS / port 443.

    How can I test the "cloud-based web API IP addresses" from the command line?
    And how can I fix this issue?
