Common Components and Services (CCS) is ending support for Tomcat 9.x in December 2026. We recommend that you proactively upgrade Compliance Event Manager (CEM) 7.0 to use Tomcat 10.x as soon as possible. Doing so avoids running an unsupported CCS Tomcat version and enables faster resolution of support tickets in the future. All future CEM features and maintenance will be provided only for a Tomcat 10 environment.

Beginning with the December 2025 PTF LU18923, CEM 7.0 requires Tomcat 10.x. Before applying this PTF, only Tomcat 9.x is supported. Therefore, upgrading to Tomcat 10.x and applying the PTF in sequence is important. For a seamless CEM Tomcat 10 upgrade experience, please carefully follow the steps in Upgrade to Tomcat 10 in the CEM 7.0 documentation. At a high level, the upgrade involves:

    • Acquiring the latest Tomcat 10.x from CCS
    • Copying and editing two CEM configuration members
    • Stopping the Tomcat started task
    • Applying CEM PTF LU18923
    • Restarting the Tomcat started task

If you have questions or need help upgrading to Tomcat 10, please contact Broadcom Support.
