Team allocations and Quarter view

Hi Experts,

 

I am in the team->Detail view in a project. There are some allocations for a resource as highlighted below. As you can see allocations

are displayed in monthly view. Lets focus on the below allocations from May-Jul which are all 100%.

 

 

 

 

When i change the to quarter view the data is displayed incorrectly.

For example for Q2 2025, we are expecting the value to be 100 as our fiscal go from May-Jul for Q2.

 

Our quarters are defined as:

Nov, Dec, Jan is Q1

Feb, Mar, Apr is Q2 

May, Jun, Jul is Q3

Aug, Sep, Oct is Q4

 

 

 

 

In the quarter view what do i need to do so that Q2 2025 displays 100, Q3 2025 displays 200 and so on?

Where is the quarter definition defined for the quarter view, what change do i need to do in the app to achieve this.

Hi Deepu, have you checked time slice configuration, between the monthly and the quarterly slice. In some cases if the slice has rolled over and the dates are outside the range, they retain data but are no longer updated

Hi Deepu, you can do data entry for the Allocation amounts when using the Quarterly review and update it to be the amount you want. It will then break it down by Month and the amounts in the months will reflect this overall Quarterly amount. 
Another option is that I see you are using classic, within Classic, click into the Allocation properties for this staff member and update the segments for the quarterly date range and the percentage you want for that quarter.  This will also break the amount down by month. 

In the new user experience, the date ranges use the date ranges of Fiscal Period definitions for Months and Quarters.

In Classic, it uses standard Quarterly and Monthly date ranges.
