    Greetings SYSVIEW community!
     
    On behalf of the SYSVIEW product team, we are pleased to announce that the SYSVIEW Option for CICS was enhanced to provide compatibility support for the IBM CICS Transaction Server (TS) version 6.3 ETP10 Open Beta. The support allows early adopters of the beta to monitor CICS using SYSVIEW. Feature PTF LU16564 delivers this capability to you.
     
    In addition to the Open Beta support, the following enhancements were added.
     

    Enhanced Commands

    The following commands are enhanced:

      • CICSSET: The CICSSET TRAN function contains the following new actions: NOPROP, PROPONLY, NOEMIT, and TASKEND.
      • CTERMVEL: The command is enhanced to calculate velocity for all transactions, regardless of their origin.
      • CTRANS: The command contains a deprecated field (OTelTrace) that was replaced with new fields (OTelProp and OTelEmit) that support the ETP10 open beta.
      • LEOPTS: The command is enhanced to display a set of Language Environment runtime options that are specific to CICS and a new CICS program named GSVCLEIN.

     

    Enhanced CICS EXEC Interface Request Monitoring

    The monitoring or tracing of EXEC CICS requests, based on CEITRACE command definitions, is enhanced to include the name of the resource that is the target of the request.

    The interface collects the target resource name for the following EXEC CICS requests: Program, File, Temp Storage, and more!

     

    Enhanced CICS Transaction Detail (CTRANLOG) SMF Record

    The CICS Transaction Detail (CTRANLOG) SMF Record contains the following updates:

      • The (CTRANLOG) record in CNM4BMAC(GSVSMF27) contains a new segment (DFHOTEL) and new fields.
      • The GSVYF027 SMF record formatter for the CTRANLOG command is updated to display the new fields on the SMFRPT display when an SMF record is selected.
      • Explore Report Writer in member CNM4RSAM(GSVSMF27) contains new variables and ID options.
      • Easytrieve in member CNM4ZMAC(GSVSMF27) contains new variables.

    NOTE: The enhancements that are delivered with Feature PTF LU16564 do not apply to SYSVIEW Essentials configurations of SYSVIEW Performance Management.
