  • 1.  Spectrum - Problem on loading cryptoj.jnlp file

    Dear community members, 

    We use Spectrum on our daily work for network monitoring, the objective of this message is to try to help a colleague on his Spectrum installation.

    We use the current runtime configuration to run Spectrum on our desktops, as follows:
    - Java Runtime Environment version 17.0.10 .

    - OpenWebStart version 1.8.0 .

    Installation seems fine and the web version runs well.
    On desktop version, when we click on oneclick.jnlp icon (is the shortcut to call the system),

    the system returns an error, as follows:

    Seems to be a problem when loading cryptoj.jnlp file.

    Hi,

    Have you tried to clear the Java cache and download the oneclick.jlnp again? You can do it from the Java Console in Control Panel

    Yes, we tried to clear cache, without success.
    And we tried to uninstall everything and reinstall, unfortunately it does now work too.

    Hello,

    Did this start occurring after an upgrade to OneClick where it was working before the upgrade?

    If so, I recommend the following:

    • On the OneClick system, check the $SPECROOT/tomcat/lib directory for older jar files that may be left over from the previous install. The date/time stamp should be the date/time of the upgrade. Look for older files. Also look for files with the same file name but different versions. If any are found, move them to a temp directory and retry.
    • You stated "On desktop version, when we click on oneclick.jnlp icon (is the shortcut to call the system)". Is the oneclick.jnlp file from the previous install? If so, download a new oneclick.jnlp file from the upgrade.

    If you are running multiple java version on the client, remove all versions of java and redownload and install the JRE and OpenWebStart that comes with Spectrum.

    Dear Joseph,


    No, we are talking about a fresh installation.
    The two packages (Java Runtime Environment version 17.0.10 and OpenWebStart version 1.8.0 ) was installed from zero, in a newly Windows 11 laptop (22H2 version).

    There is only one Java runtime running, and the .jnlp icon is related to a current server version
    (we have checked, is up to date).

    We also checked the permissions on the C:\Users\JuniorA\.cache folder (setting to Everyone for test purposes, Total Control),
    But no success.

    At this point we would need to examine logs and enable some debug to determine root cause and resolution.

    Hello,


    I tried to do this, but, when I click on "Open a Case" button, some seconds later, I receive a message from Okta "invalid token".
    I already logged with my account from the previous page, and there is no option to type my login details.
    Only the message.
