snmptd configure traps

Hi, 
We would like to configure trap monitoring such that only on the fifth trap, an alarm will be created. Is this possible using snmptd probe?

Hello,

Depending on your use case, you have a few options:

1. Send QoS on number of traps. On the trap profile in snmptd you can send an alarm when you receive more than 5 traps of a specific type in a configurable time interval. This does not discriminate against of the source of the trap. snmptd IM Configuration
2. If you don't care if an alarm is raised, but want an email notification when more than 5 traps are received, you can create a nas profile and add the condition Message Counter = 5. You can make the alarms invisible or filter the alarms for specific users.
