Same Instance name

HI,

I'm building a new Autosys environment for outdated software and Infrastructure going to r24 for one of my clients 

Normally I would give the instances new names, i.e PRD to PR1,  but the client is adamant on keeping the same instance names which I have advised against because they want to run in parallel and move jobs over by application. I know the agent could get in a twist 

Just looking for some ideas on what you guys think or would do

Hi,

Each instance must have unique ID.  You cannot have two PRD, unless they are completely isolated from each other.

Ans yes, agent will not work properly if you two instances with same ID.

Just wanted to double check if anyone got around it ..

They will be on there own server and DB ,  but will be on the same network...
