  • 1.  Request for Access to Legacy Wise Package Studio 8 Installer

    Hello,

    I'm reaching out to request access to the legacy installer for Wise Package Studio 8.0 MR1. This was developed by Altiris and eventually bought by Symantec. I am a licensed user of the product and need to reinstall it.

    Front desk support advised me to post this request in the community section, as they do not have the expertise or access required to assist directly and mentioned that an SME may be able to help. Since Wise Package Studio is a discontinued product, there is no dedicated community category for it, so I apologise in advance if this post appears in the wrong section. Any assistance in directing this request to the appropriate audience would be greatly appreciated.

    Because the product is no longer publicly distributed, I understand that archived installers are maintained internally. I would be grateful for temporary access to the Wise Package Studio 8.0 MR1 installation media - whether through FileConnect or any other legacy download channel. I currently have the installation media for the original 8.0.0.68 release, but I understand that MR1 and other maintenance updates were issued before the product was retired.

    If any additional information is needed to verify my entitlement, I am more than happy to provide it (e.g. license key and/or purchaser details).

    Hi,

    The component that you mentioned is not part of the Continuous Delivery Director product (CDD). 

    are you sure that you are referring to Continuous Delivery Director product or to the "Continuous Delivery Automation"? (which used to be part of Automic)

    Thanks for your reply!

    Wise Package Studio was originally part of the Altiris product line which was later acquired by Symantec.

    When Symantec was acquired by Broadcom my understanding is that all the Altiris product line was incorporated into Symantec IT Management Suite.

    Wise Package Studio itself got discontinued but I imagine if I'll ever have any chance of getting access to some legacy download link it'll be through the Broadcom community.

    I noticed there is a separate Symantec IT Management Suite community and I have posted there as well, hoping an SME there will pick it up.
