The Layer7 Bundle is meant to be an all-inclusive bundle of the Layer7 solution. There's a ton of value in this as it ensures that customers can take full advantage of the full solution without barriers to get new components as they are introduced. For example, we have recently released new configuration intelligence features as part of our API Developer Portal and are evolving the Portal into the API Security Manager which will provide valuable new capabilities that make managing the API Gateways much more efficient. See the last Layer7 Office Hours for more details on this. It's also important to note that the number of API Gateway instances are the primary measure of license counts. Moving to individual SKUs would not be recommended and would likely greatly reduce their value without likely reducing their costs.
In terms of production vs. non-production, it is correct that there is no distinction. This provides the ability for customers to freely move these licenses as needed without having to worry about which are non-prod vs prod.
If you need more help with positioning the value please let me know.

Subject: production and non-production Layer 7
Dear Team,
this is the question from one of the customers in Switzerland.
- The price for prod and non-prod systems is exactly the same. Is this correct? Are there no price differences for production usage and non production usage?
- We pay for a whole bundle "Layer7: API Management Bundle" which contains the Components "CA API Developer Portal", "CA API Gateway", "CA Application Performance Management (APM / Wily / Introscope)" and "CA Mobile API Gateway". But we only use two of them: "CA API Gateway" and "CA Application Performance Management (APM / Wily / Introscope)". Is it possible to switch from a bundle to only those two components?Thank you. Olga
