  • 1.  Parameterized lookup values are not selected in report designer

    Posted Feb 25, 2026 08:46 AM

We just started to use the Report designer.

we set up two parameters in the filters. Both of these parameters are lookups.

The first lookup is a manual lookup with certain business units.

The second lookup is a parametrized Dynamic Query which we are based on business unit from the first lookup.

The results in the second parameter should show only those items that are belonging the selected business unit.

When we see this in the filters of report designer, we see that all the items regardless of business items are shown here.

I wanted to know if this is the correct behaviour

    Please advise

I would say its working as designed as lookup logic is governed in native functionality of Clarity and not in the reporting as you are going to fetch data which is already stored and not creating any data which needs to govern the business rules.

As Suman mentioned, lookups behaviors are normally governed by a selected instance, in this case it is not. When using lookups in the DWH, they will bring back values and behave as if no parameters are passed
