I was just wondering. if i need to take online training prior to taking this exam. I have completed data certification online training.
would I be able to get my certification after completing this exam?

I dont really understand what you mean by "data certification online training".
For 2V0-41.20 or any other VCP-level certification and if you don't have an active VCP certification in another track (e.g. Data Center Virtualization) you will need to attend a VMware approved course which you can find here: VMware Certified Professional - Network Virtualization 2023 (VCP-NV 2023)
