To our valued NetMaster customers:
NetMaster's TCP/IP monitoring and alerting functionality now provides you with enhanced handshake failure reporting across the application:
- The Encryption Summary (/ENCSUM) panel now displays handshake failure totals, and features a new HS FAIL column that displays the total number of handshake failures per task, local port, home address, remote network, and application. A new Total Handshake Failures summary line displays the total of the HS FAIL column.
- The Encryption Summary (/ENCSUM) panel interface has been improved and it is now easier to view and interpret information.
- The SSL/TLS Handshake Failure event detector (SSLHFAIL) has been enhanced. The event detector now includes zERT-detail-reported TLS and SSH handshake failures, and the associated alerts are reported for both the client and server address spaces. Packet Analyzer alerts have also been updated to provide more information in the alert description.
- The NetMaster API Service's TCP/IP Data API now includes a additional handshake failures property.
For additional detail on these enhancements, refer to the release note in the New Features article.
To enable the new handshake failure reporting features, apply PTFs LU 19239 and LU19240 and follow the instructions in the HOLDDATA.
