  • 1.  Migrate ESP scheduler from Mainframe to Distributed server

    Hi Experts,

My client is in the process of transitioning Mainframe applications to the Cloud by converting them to Java.
The ESP scheduler on the Mainframe is responsible for scheduling both Mainframe jobs and jobs on Distributed Servers/Cloud.

Since the ESP scheduler on the Mainframe is handling job scheduling, they are interested in moving the ESP scheduler from the Mainframe to a distributed server.

They do not wish to postpone the migration of the ESP scheduler to a distributed server until all applications have been migrated.

I have searched the Broadcom website for the ESP scheduler but could not locate a distributed version.

Could you please provide guidance on migrating the ESP scheduler from the Mainframe to a distributed server?
    Thanks,
    Ravikumar

    Hi Ravikumar,

You can consider "ESP dSeries Workload Automation" as the distributed version of ESP. See more on the doc link below:

    https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/intelligent-automation/ca-workload-automation-de/12-4.html

Do you need help from our services? They should have a migration tool. If yes, I will let them reach you.

    Hope this helps,

    Lucy
