We are pleased to announce that the experimental release of the Layer7 Intelligence capability is now available. This release brings exciting new capabilities to the Layer7 platform that will empower users with the ability to gain valuable insights into the configuration of their Layer7 gateways. This release represents the first set of capabilities which are planned to expand into an overall intelligence and infrastructure management solution across the Layer7 platform.
For this release, the capabilities introduced provide a highly configurable rules engine providing the ability to gain insights into the entire Layer7 infrastructure. This includes most gateway entities (i.e. certificates, cluster-wide properties, policies, assertions, etc.) as well as gateway information such as JVM parameters, patch versions, etc. Users can create rules to analyze and report on various conditions. The results of these rules may be shown on the Intelligence dashboard and/or sent to a list of email addresses on a periodic basis.
Some examples of rules include:

List all certificates that will expire in the next 90 days for a specified domain

List the patch version of all gateways

List all policies that are using a specific assertion such as identifying any policies or services using the "Evaluate JSON Path Expression V1" assertion

List all JDBC connections that are not using TLS
Rules may combine multiple conditions for more complex scenarios and the results may be customized to show additional attributes of the data that is returned.
As with all experimental releases, we encourage you to try out these new capabilities and provide feedback to the Layer7 product team. Support will be provided exclusively through the Layer7 Community site (please do not open support cases with Broadcom support as they will not be able to assist).
