Today, we are pleased to announce that IT Management Suite 8.8.1 is now available. 

    Highlights of the Symantec IT Management Suite 8.8.1 release include:

    • Symantec Management Agent
      • Support for Windows 11 25H2
      • Support for macOS 26 (Tahoe)
      • Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.7, 10 and 10.1
      • Support for Oracle Linux 9.7. 10 and 10.1
      • Support for SUSE 16 (except Deployment Solution and Patch Management Solution)
      • Real time retrieval of credentials from Azure Key Vault (Entra) secret when executing several tasks using specific user accounts
      • Get Agent Troubleshooting Data task retrieves log files from CEM connected devices without requirement to open network port 445 for SMB traffic

    • Symantec Management Platform
      • Support for SQL Server 2025 (which enables IT Analytics component of ITMS to use Power BI Report Server)
      • New ephemeral CEM client certificates enabling agent to automatically generate CEM client certificates as needed
      • Four new REST API methods provide increased flexibility for importing data to (and exporting data from) ITMS CMDB
      • Data Connector can now call external APIs, enabling end-to-end solution for importing data to (and exporting data from) ITMS CMDB
      • Key ITMS solutions and components support management of devices in IPv6 only environments
      • Maintenance Window Startup Power Action enables system to be restarted before opening maintenance window if pending restart detected
      • Web socket support for communication between Notification Server and Site Servers
      • Microsoft Entra support for Workflow Process Manager, enabling implementation of Multi-Factor Authentication
      • Microsoft Entra authentication support for multiple tenants without defined trust relationships
      • Report Viewer modernization providing the ability to filter by data in individual columns, sort data by multiple columns, create multi-level groupings based on column headings, ability to save results in PDF format, and flexible and sophisticated graphing and charting capabilities
      • Role security policies enable simultaneous editing of privileges associated with multiple security roles
      • Ability to prevent the independent running of tasks while allowing them to be executed from within jobs
      • Default values for Repeat Task Schedules eliminated (schedules previously defaulted to be executed every minute)
      • Ability to create lists of custom defined values for task tokens
      • Symantec Installation Manager no longer supports 30-day built-in evaluation (license key now required to install ITMS); future releases of ITMS will require new version of Symantec Installation Manager to be downloaded from Broadcom Support Portal

    • Inventory
      • Basic Inventory capabilities expanded to collect Computer Description
      • Standard Inventory capabilities expanded to collect ODBC Data Source information from Windows devices
      • Standard inventory capabilities expanded to collect BitLocker data
      • Standard Inventory capabilities expanded to collect names of USB-connected Plug and Play devices
      • Standard Inventory capabilities expanded to collect data regarding features installed on Windows Server computers

    • Software Management
      • New view showing apps imported from Microsoft Store
      • Ability to import apps from Microsoft Store that are not available in the United States and ability to filter the list of available apps by country
      • Expanded list of operators for Windows Version applicability and detection rules

    • Patch Management
      • Use of Windows Update Agent integration to install device drivers
      • Windows Patch Management Support for eight additional vendors/apps (added in Windows patch management data feed)

    Dear All,

    is there a workaround or fix for the issue in 8.8.1 witj pxe and secureboot.

    we only get ipxe to work as a workaround.
