  • 1.  Issue with Oracle Connection Object: "Cannot continue after connection interruption"

    Hi community,

We are attempting to set up a Connection object to access an Oracle database, but unfortunately, the process keeps failing.

    Database Type: Oracle OCI
Service Name: Discovered through TNS_ADMIN on the Automic engine server (Linux)

Hint: We can successfully connect to the desired database using SQL*Plus on the engine server.

    The Problem:
When clicking "Test" in the Connection object, the following error appears: "Cannot continue after connection interruption." Additionally, the DB Service agent shuts down (!).

For context, the agent's INI file contains the entry useOraClient=1.

Can anyone help us resolve this issue?

    Failed connection to Oracle Database
    Kind regards
    André

I fixed this using "Generic JDBC" as Database type and providing an JDBC connect string within Server:Port.
