Improvements to SCRT reporting for Gen (z/OS Licensing Updates)

Broadcom SCRT is an easy to use application for managing your Broadcom ISV Sub-capacity Reporting Tool (SCRT) reports. These reports list the Broadcom mainframe products that run at least once during the reporting period. These reports are created using Common Components and Services. We have been enhancing Gen to improve the accuracy of information found in the SCRT report. Gen license checking has been updated to ensure that LMP checks are done for the HE, z/OS IT, Middleware, and Runtimes. 

Be aware these licensing checks require that Common Components and Services CAIRIM be installed to run on any z/OS LPAR where Gen products execute. If CAIRIM is not installed and executed when the LMP check is done, Gen will suffer a nonrecoverable abend.

FAQ: How do I know which PTFs improve the SCRT report?

• All of these PTFs are labeled with a fix category = CA.function.scrt.reporting.
• In your Support Portal there is a report that you can search for this fix category.
  • Go to "My Dashboard", scroll down to "Quick Links", select "Installation and maintenance tools", scroll down to "Fix Category Solutions Search Page" on the right side.
