GRANT UC_ECC_PLUGINS

Hi,

The documentation indicates that in order to view the FTP/web service tabs, the user must be granted rights to this variable.

This works fine in client 0, but how can rights be granted to a user from another client?

Note that this worked fine in version 21 without any special rights to this variable.

Hi Frederic,

please note that there were no changes in authorizations regarding the UC_ECC_PLUGINS Store object from V21 to V24. I recommend assigning the required Read authorization on user-group level and assign this group to all users in a client.

Below is just an example for that required permissions. Add that line to your existing USRG objects in each client:

Hi,

please explain what is the impact? The RA solution panels not showing up in the AWI? Try deleting the solution from UC_ECC_PLUGINS in client 0, save it and restart the agent.

it is definitely not an authorization issue. In AWI please open "About" und check for Plug-Ins in red color. 

Are you using tomcat? If yes try deleting all the tomcat caches too.

Since it worked in client 0 with the UC user, I suspected a permissions issue.
After several tests, I found that the 'Database maintenance' privilege was required, a privilege that does not exist in 21!
However, there are no permissions on UC_ECC_plugins, and it still works.

Any explanation?

I just removed the privileges and it still works...
Is this because the rights/privileges system was changed between versions 21 and 24, and modifying this reapplied the rights in version 24?
