    Datacom CADRE Community members,

    As part of Datacom's strategy of optimizing your environment, we are pleased to announce the Data Space Management Option 6 enhancement that provides improved DASD space utilization for highly compressed tables and multi-table areas with widely varying table record sizes. It can save DASD space and thus reduce the need to extend areas, reclaim space with DATASCAN or reorganize (REORG) areas and tables.  A new Dynamic System Table containing information on the use of the enhancement is also provided.
