    IDMS IUA Community members,

As part of our Optimize strategy, the IDMS team is pleased to announce the general availability of the PTF LU13678.

    Feature Overview
In a multi-tasking Central Version, when either Standard Storage Protect or High Performance Storage Protect is in use, user programs defined as PROTECT are forced to run in MPMODE USER and are serialized. If High Performance Storage Protect is enabled, these user programs may now run in MPMODE ANY and no longer run serialized, eliminating overhead resulting from the serialization.

    Key Benefits
This enhancement provides the ability to use the High-Performance Storage Protect option (HPSPO) in production IDMS systems without having to make the difficult choice between system integrity and CPU cost.
