    Many organisations are actively exploring how artificial intelligence can be used to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance quality across a wide range of business processes. One area seeing particularly strong interest is application development, where AI tools are beginning to play a meaningful role in assisting developers, accelerating delivery, and modernising legacy systems.

    At IET, we have been working closely with several customers to investigate how AI can best support teams working with Gen. Our goal is to understand not only how AI can interpret and analyse Gen code, but also how it can help automate aspects of development that have traditionally required manual intervention.

    As part of this effort, we have delivered recent enhancements to Studio Developer that make it easier to integrate AI into the Gen development workflow. These updates are designed to support scenarios where AI tools can read and understand action diagrams, propose modifications, and then allow those updated diagrams to be imported back into the model-streamlining processes that can otherwise be time‑consuming.

    We are now expanding this research and are keen to learn more about how different organisations are approaching AI adoption. Has your organisation already begun using AI tools?
