We are proud to announce the general availability of Explorer for Endevor version 1.8.0. This release includes the following new features:

    • Element text search
Search for particular strings in the elements of an Endevor inventory with an element text filter. This new filter can be used in conjunction with the existing Element Type, Name, and Last Action CCID filters.

    • Show all elements up the map and view full element history
Use a new Element view option, “Show All Elements Up the Map.” In addition, you can explore the full element history, including the original elements up the map in the Element History view.

    • Ability to view and update package SCL
View package SCL and update existing packages by overwriting or appending elements to the package SCL.

    • Generate package names
Create a package with the name generated using the GENPKGID exit.

    • Delete Element action
Developers can now delete elements from their Endevor inventory. This feature is disabled by default and can be enabled in the extension settings.

    • Multiple listing support
For actions that produce multiple listings, users can now select the desired dataset to view a particular listing.

    • CCID and Comment prompting enhancements
An extension setting lets you enable or disable CCID and Comment prompting for element actions. Users can also see the values set for their session in the menu bar.

The release is available from the Visual Studio Code Marketplace here. If you have any issues obtaining the extension, please reach out to me. We very much hope you enjoy the new features of Explorer for Endevor version 1.8.0!

    Great work Zach & Team.

For info, if you are trying to get Search to work (and you already have it working on your Mainframe ISPF QE interface), this version via the plugin requires PTF LU10870: https://support.broadcom.com/web/ecx/solutiondetails?aparNo=LU10870&os=z%2FOS
