Subject: End of Life Announcement for Watchtower Platform™ Real-Time Streaming (z/IRIS®) Client
Broadcom is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. To focus our development efforts and to help our customer base achieve their strategic business initiatives, we are investing our resources in new technology and software and will be discontinuing technical support on Watchtower Platform™ Real-Time Streaming (z/IRIS®) Client. In accordance with the Broadcom Maintenance Policy Handbook, please consider this email your written notification of End of Life for Watchtower Platform™ Real-Time Streaming (z/IRIS®) Client. This notification means WatchTower z/IRIS Client will no longer be enhanced and operational and technical support will be discontinued effective February 28, 2027. After February 28, 2027, Broadcom will continue to make self-service support available until the end of your current maintenance term.
Broadcom has made zArchitecture Bridge Version 2.0 available as a migration path. We encourage you to migrate to zArchitecture Bridge Version 2.0 as soon as possible, so you can take full advantage of the features, functionalities, and enhancements that this new product has to offer. Broadcom would like to make your upgrade to zArchitecture Bridge Version 2.0 as straightforward as possible, so we offer the following assistance:
- The latest supported Version/Release of zArchitecture Bridge at no charge, as long as you have an active maintenance contract for WatchTower Platform Suite or SYSVIEW. Documentation to help you prepare for your upgrade can be viewed here.
- Should you need assistance with developing a migration strategy or performing the actual migration, Services can help. For more information about Services and how you can leverage our experience, visit Services.
