You can now connect the OPS/REXX Language Support Extension for VS Code (OPS/REXX LS) to OPS/MVS using a standard Secure Shell (SSH) connection.
In contrast to the integration offered through the OPS/MVS REST API server, which we recommend for use at the enterprise level, connecting to OPS/MVS through SSH provides a quick setup method for individuals who want to explore advanced features of OPS/REXX LS.
The extension also supports an adaptive mode that automatically switches between REST API and SSH connections depending which connection type is available. You can select adaptive mode and your preferred connection type in your OPS/REXX LS settings in VS Code.
