We just wrapped up our CA 7 Virtual User Group meeting, and the momentum is undeniable! 🚀

Huge thanks to our dedicated leadership team, Robert (Bob) Root and David Richman, and a massive shout-out to TJ Aspden & Maggie Stewart for marketing and operational support.

Thanks to EVERY single user group member who joined us today. This is YOUR community, and it is as strong as its members.

We dove into the heart of workload automation with a packed agenda:

🔹 CA 7 Trivia: Because who doesn't love a high-stakes, CA 7-history challenge? (Huge congrats to our winner, who has won !) Thanks Joe Valentino for hosting it!

🔹 Broadcom Support 101: Decoding case severity, mastering SLAs, and getting the inside track on how to resolve your toughest issues faster. Thanks Karen McCullough Rich Kahn for hosting it!

🔹 Learning@Broadcom Walkthrough: Unlocking the vault of expert courses available right at your fingertips. Thanks Nanxi Meng, Ph.D. and Amy Flanagan for hosting it!

🔹 Open Mic: Q & A on any topic that's at the top of your mind. Thanks Sameer Mukoo Terri Ernst Jason Fruscella and Kathy Meadors for your inputs!

    The FOMO is real.

When you aren't in the room, you're missing out on real-world migration tricks, JCL parsing shortcuts, and direct access to the experts shaping the product roadmap.

Don't be the one reading about it later.

We have our marquee 1-day in-person event, the CA 7 User Group, coming up in Allen, Texas on October 19, 2026. The 3-day Mainframe Technical Exchange (MTE) with packed agenda starts immediately after the User Group meeting day. Indeed a great session - very informative, well paced and interactive.   Let build on this great start.

I'd encourage every member to get involved, share their experiences, and help shape the future of our community. Together, we can learn faster, solve problems more effectively, and make a greater impact in our organizations. Technology changes rapidly, and none of us have all the answers. This group provides a platform where members can exchange ideas, discover new tools and best practices, hear about emerging trends, and build valuable professional relationships.

So a call to action, Don't just attend the community, be part of it. Share a lesson learned, ask a question, volunteer a topic, or start a conversation. Your experience could be exactly what someone else needs to hear. To get the ball rolling , I'd love to hear about successful projects in and around the use of CA7,  or how you are adopting AI into your working day. Feel free to post ideas for future sessions in the community. We'll do our best to ensure the community works for you.
