I suggested to the customer that we need to look at running a Catalog Request Archive and Purge utility on a monthly basis.
They were concerned that the manual says that once the archive runs the archived requests cannot be restored. What are other customers doing in this regard? Are they creating an archive backup before each run which can be restored to a temporary system in the event that old requests need to be accessed?
What is the retention period that they are keeping completed requests for? Is it a year, or 5 years?
Any recommendations will be appreciated.
