  • 1.  CA Service Desk - PDM_D_MGR crashing - webeng died

    Hello,

    We noticed PDM_D_MGR crashing, webeng died error in STDLOG and also some errors in Event Viewer of SDM Server in the same timestamp. Version of SDM is 17.4.3. 

    We also noticed here: CA Service Management 17.4.4.0 Release Notes , that some kind of bug was fixed in 17.4.4 regarding PDM_D_MGR crashing.

    Has anybody else noticed this and in which situation does this happens? How to reproduce it, I don't see PDF with steps to reproduce in Release notes?

    Hello Bruno, 

    I reviewed the case and defect for that issue and it was discovered on 17.3 RU23 and was due to accessing the null pointer variable.

    I would recommend you opening a support case and providing the crash dump for review so we can verify if this is related to that issue or may be something different.
