Hello CA 1 Flexible Storage Community members,
As part of our Enable strategy, the CA 1 Flexible Storage team is pleased to announce the general availability of an enhancement introducing a new "Encryption Key Chain" (EKC) (PTF LU17677) and support for a 64-character DSKEYLBL (PTF LU19225).
Feature Overview
The new EKC is stored within the Tape Management Catalog (TMC) - the main database for CA 1 Flexible Storage. This EKC has the 64-character DSKEYLBL as specified from IBM and the 32-character nickname it translates to. It allows a global default DSKEYLBL to be assigned to ALL SL tape files created, and it also allows for a DSKEYLBL to be ignored by the Tape Encryption feature, even when a DSKEYLBL has been specified.
