Hi Jose,
Some basic information is available here: https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/12920
Generally speaking I would say that the following points are most important in terms of UIM Backups:
- On the primary hub/UIM Server, you should back up at least the entire "Nimsoft" directory, if not a full snapshot of the VM/Server. In the event of a catastrophic failure, it is possible to install DX UIM Server on an entirely new machine and then copy the old Nimsoft folder in place (as long as you have installed the same version), so backing up just the Nimsoft folder is fine.
- On the OC Server, the same applies. Follow the same strategy as you would for the Primary Hub/UIM Server. This also could apply to any secondary hubs and robots in fact. Only the Nimsoft folder itself is critical.
- The most critical component is probably the Database; a full backup of the DX UIM Database should be taken regularly and prior to any upgrade. Partial/incremental backups are not generally recommended.
Perhaps others may join in with more specifics about their own strategies but the above is sufficient for most use cases.
